Position description
There will be 3+ hours of English teaching a day to the local Chinese students in a private university. Then you can walk into any other classes vary from arts and martial arts and reading Chinese classics. Whats more, you will be invited to attend a Miao or Dong Minority traditional wedding of the teachers in the same university or a friend in the other part of the province. You will be have a driver and a private car which can take you to the countryside for bird watching or trekking. You can visit your students’ home as well. Note: you should offer one year commitment.
the Students
Students are the first year students from different departments. They have been taught for one semester the College English of listening, reading and writing. They have certain ability to understand the teacher and communicate with others orally.
Students are supposed to follow the techniques instructed by teachers in class and take an active part in preparing for and participating classroom activities. In this physical interactive language environment, students are expected to improve their English listening and speaking by experiencing the effect of real international communication with native speakers.

About the university
The Guizhou Yatai Vocational College was set up and registered in 2001(the 755 universities list released by the Ministry of Education of PRC of 2008). The campus occupies 320 acres. there are 1612 students right now and 266 full-time faculty members , including 8 professors, 67 associate professor, lecturer and doctoral, master’s, more than 160 graduate teachers. For English teaching, the school need more professional English teachers(English is the mother language). Guizhou Province is in the south-west of china, the wonderful Miao and Dong Minority culture is the highlight, the beautiful natural resources is the gift to the peopel. You can ask someone who visited Guizhou before, I bet they will tell you more about the place.
