Qingbiankou青边口-a beautiful place north to Beijing

Lots of people know Bashang 坝上 for the grassland and horse riding and wide landscape and the roast lamb. but there is another place even closer to Beijing and with more beautiful tourism resources. Unfortunately Xuanhua宣化 is a very important north Military fortress of Beijing city. this area just opened to the public in the year of 1995. so, only some tourism specialist just like me know this place. I will tell you more about the importance of this area later. actually, the old courtyards and the different period of Great wall and the old city wall can show this.

The most interesting of the Qingbiankou is that we can see different period of Great wall in the same area. we can see and understand the history easily.

you can see 3 period from Qin Dynasty to Beiwei Dynasty to Ming Dynasty at the same area. quite interesting. and the later great wall constructed, the more north of the border. we can see china was stronger and stronger.

In Qingbiankou village, we can see lots of old courtyard.

How to get this place?

Train from Beijing west railway station, this is the best so far for now. ony 2hour49 minutes. for 173 km. then you should hire a cab to the Qingbiankou village. about another 45 minutes for 30 km. you can see the road situation is not so good. the car need slow. and you will see the fighters training if you are lucky.the real fighter!!!
