This was the sky dates back  to 2005—-the most important year for almost all the high school students of my age in china. I took picture at the same spot evry dusk to record the tiny little change of my life and that year. It was just as beautiful as the memory of that year I had gone through.I’ve been study in Dalian for nearly three and half years, but the missing of the island never lessen.

I can’t find any words to describe my feeling of the little island. I will try my best bring the most spendid aspects of it to you!

I was born in city, and I grew up in city, too. Maybe that is the reason why I’m fascinated by the coutry scenery. Of course I took some pics and I’d love to show you.

Two years ago, I was invited to visit my friend’s hometown. I got to say that was awesome!

The old lady in the pic is my friend’s grandmother. She is so nice. When I said I want to have some coconut juice, she took the tool out and got it for me. The tool is made by bamboo and tied with a hacking knife atop. It was specially made to collect coconut.

Tip time! Right after you drink up the coconut juice, how can you eat the flesh? I don’t think anybody will bring a spoon along as a traveller. Well, the tip is easy. Tell the seller to cut a piece of  coconut shell for you, just like the piece in my hand.  Then , a natural spoon was made! It is definately local and professional way of eating coconut flesh!

About coconut(Yezi in mandarin, Yazi in Hainnan dialect), there is a local tale. In the ancient time, coconut was called the head of Yue King( Yue King is the King of the anciant Li monority). It happend in a victory-celebration banquet, because the guard ignored the safety, the King was assassinated. His head was cut and hung on the mast. When the enemy shoot the city, all the arrow magically turned to shoot the mast. Gradually, the mast growing higher and higher, and then the mast become the coconut tree, the arrows become the leaf, the head become coconut. Those enemy was so scaried that they gave up. From then on, coconut stands for the Li monority. Today when you strip off the skin of coconut, you will see three spot on the shell, they are the angry eyes and shouting mouth of the Yue King!

I moved step by step to get closer to it. Right after taking the pic, it jumped towads me…fortunately, I skipped right away. Though it got a bad temper, it is cute!

My dream is  to stay in the air-fresh and unsophisticated countryside. No matter you call before or just drop by suddenlly, the people in the country will welcome you like they have been waiting for a long time. They are pure kind-hearted without any pay-back damand. It is absolutely different from the appointment-first city! This is the part moved me most. This pic shows one of  my dream has already come true–sit down and eat as many fresh coconuts as I want with those kind people in the village.

Thanks again to the readers who are patient enough to read my writing.
