Baguo巴国，was the old name for Sichuan四川 over 3000 years ago，Buyi布衣，means the ordinary people. Baguobuyi means the Sichuan people. Baguobuyi Restaurant is a typical Chuan style food restaruant in china.

Chuan style food
Chinese food has summed up as four main branches including:Chuan style,Yue or Canton style,Lu style(Shandong province) and Su(Jiangnan area) throught more than 2000 years inheritance and development. among them, Chuan style has a good reputation in China even around the world. also know as the spicy food. Yeah,very spicy. in Chinese, there is a saying for the Chuan style food, known as 怕不辣, that means the Sichuan people dont like the food not spicy even they dont believe it if the food is not spicy as they expected. 怕不辣 and 不怕辣 and 辣不怕 are 3 degree of spicy food. but the 怕不辣 is the deepest one. Well, the Chuan style is the best spicy food in the world. believe it or not. try Baguobuyi restaurant is one of the best Chuan style food restaurants in Beijing. today, i’d like to tell you some info about the Baguobuyi restaurant. a branch restaurant near Di’anmen or Beihai park.

Before I introduce the Baguobuyi restaurant, I’d like to tell some characters of Chuan style food. Sichuan food is famous for its diversification of taste, which is know as “a hundred dishes,a hundred flavors” and “every one is unique”. actually, after the Sichuan food entering Beijing, the spicy was localization already. that means, the taste is not that heavy spicy. can meet the requirement of Beijingners and other foreigners. So, you can try the less spicy food first, if you have enough courage, you can try the heavy spicy dishes. but be careful, nobody will relief the pain of spicy if you cant affort it.

Baguobuyi Restaurant

Well,this Baguobuyi near the Di’anmen is one of the localization restaurants of Sichuan food in Beijing, fortunaly, I tried the taste of it 3 years ago. From the very first time, I felt in love this restaurant. The old fashion decoration, the Sichuan folk opera-Bianlian变脸, the good service and the good manager of marketing. To tell the true, I really have a feeling of home. My hometown is in Hebei province though. You can see the smiling on their faces every minute. This Baguobuyi was founded in 1996 and has became one of the most noted brands of Sichuan food in China within 3 years.

The decoration
Yes, the decoration is old fasion. I bet you will love the stairs from the first seeing as me. No,I wont show the stairs for you here. the stairs wont astonished you if I tell what it is looks like.

The food
As I mentioned above, this Chuan style is localizationed. but perserved the original process and technology. there are 3 different kinds of spicy. less spicy, common spicy, and strong and heavy spicy(you can try it if you are ready). The common people can try the common spicy. it is no problem. the super human can try the strong and heavy spicy. it is easy for supers. but you can become supers at once when you try it.

Bianlian show变脸表演

Folk opera and Olypmics
Saw the opening Olympics ceremony? you must see Sijiangkaitai 四将开台. Sijiangkaitai is a traditional folk opera came from Fujian Province, actually, Sijiangkaitai is a puppet show, or in Chinese is Mu’ou 木偶. the history of Puppet show in China is more than 2000 years .

Bianlian 变脸
Bianlian 变脸 is another folk opera,comes from the Sichuan folk opera,or 川剧. Most of the people known the Chuan Opera because of the Bianlian show. Now,lots of actors and actoress who can Bianlian . Yeah, even the actoress. I bet you didnt see a femail actor who can changes her faces on the stage within 0.2 sceond. But you can enjoy the show in Baguobuyi restaurant ,and even you can ask for a close picture from her.

but the show is only 8 minutes long. to tell you a truth, 8 minutes is quite something for such a traditional Bianlian show. because during the show,there is always a mask on her face, that she cant breath freely. and she will complete 8 times Bianlian. 8 times is also quite difficult for Bianlian. (Tips:The show time: every evening from 8 PM.) So,she is one of the best actors or the only one actoress in Bianlian field.
