“方寸之间”容天地，一枚雅致的石质印章，篆刻上名字，或送或留，都有古朴自然的情趣。如果有心，拥有一枚合意的印章，也不是难事。一般寿山石、巴林石、青田石质地都比较细腻，有了石头，就要找人刻，当然，有人可能说可以用机器刻，没错，用机器刻的效果确实会“相当地”齐整，却全然失去了印章本身的意义。

实际上，机器刻的效果比较死板,手工刻的印文更显生动和自然。印文最好刻阳文，印章上刻的文字，分阳文、阴文之说，简单地说，“阳文”就是突出来的文字，“阴文”就是凹下去的文字。一般刻阴文方便，拿刻刀夯几道沟就OK，（哈哈）很多显功力的印章都是阳刻的，尤其是朱文篆刻（非常细的阳文）。

印章上如果加上边款最好，篆刻时在石头侧面为自己刻些字，这些字可以是祝福、感悟、嘱托之类或是简简单单的时期年月，会有不一样的感觉。如果有兴趣和时间的话，完全可以自己买把刻刀来刻，虽然刻的文字很可能七歪八扭，但是，自己动手，丰衣足食，其中的蕴意应该是很真挚和淳朴的，正合了印石质朴拙然的天性。2008，刻个闲章吧！
