The Tian Wai Tian Hotel (Tianwaitian dajiudian), a 12 storey three star hotel, is located at the junction of the three main urban districts of Baotou, towards the southern end of Hudemulin Avenue. It is about 40km from the airport and 15km from the railway station. Despite being in the not so convenient western end of town, this is probably the best hotel in Baotou.

The hotel has a total of 218 rooms ranging from standard singles to deluxe suites. All of the rooms are equipped with central air-conditioning, DDD/IDD telephones, closed circuit television and 24hr. hot water.

Further hotel facilities include a fitness center, an indoor swimming pool, a bowling alley, a billiards room, banking services, currency exchange desk, a small shopping arcade and a beauty salon. Business services are also large, including variously sized meeting rooms and a spacious multi-function room that has advanced lighting and audio-visual equipment. The business center provides basic secretarial services including photocopying, facsimile and typing services.

The hotel provides both Chinese and western-style food and has a number of different banquet rooms for those here on business. The main Chinese cuisines served are of Cantonese, Sichuan, Shanghaiese and local styles.
